How to lodge your complaints?

1) First, try to resolve it with the courier company. If they are not willing to help resolve your problem even after a phone call, you should take it up with IKEA.

2) Call IKEA on (02) 8002 0400 and register a complaint.

3) If that doesn't help, call NSW Office of Fair Trading and lodge a complaint. You can also use their free online form which is FREE and takes less than 10 minutes to lodge. This is the link.

4) IMPORTANT: if you have incurred personal distress and financial loss due to your dealings with anyone involved in the process, you can lodge a complaint with NSW Consumer Tribunal. There is a small cost involved ($5 for students and pensioners) but there is much better chance that your problem will be quickly resolved. This is the link to instantly lodge your complaint online.

What to do if your delivery is delayed?

You have paid a lot of money, spent a great deal of time selecting furniture and possibly have taken time off from work to re-arrange your home and the last thing you now want is a delay with your furniture delivery.

Bad luck - it is a common occurence with some courier companies. Take a deep breath and pick up your phone.

1) Call 1300 554 958 and ask the operator to give you a tentative time.

2) Try to speak to a manager as much as possible as this will help prioritise your delivery. Your delivery is probably late because other people have been calling and you have not called.

3) Call IKEA at (02) 8002 0400 and register a complaint. Be sure to get a reference number. Kings Transport work for IKEA and they don't want IKEA to be angry about delivery issues. Expect a quick delivery soon after.

Good luck!

How to expedite your delivery?

Kings Transport don't provide you with an exact delivery time and can deliver anytime between 7AM to 7PM which means you have to stay home all day long. It might not be practical for many people. Even then, there are no guarantees that your stuff will be delivered that day.

What you can do to expedite delivery:

1) Call 1300 554 958 early in the morning because that's when the trucks leave and they can prioritise deliveries.

2) Call every hour and ask the operator to call driver and check location.

By following the above two steps, there is a better chance that your delivery will be on time.
